Justin Jackson Bio

Justin Jackson is an American professional basketball player born in Houston, Texas on March 28, 1995. He is currently a small forward for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association. Jackson played basketball in high school at Homeschool Christian Youth Association in Houston, Texas. He went on to play college basketball at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for the Tar Heels from 2014 to 2017. During his time with the Tar Heels he won ACC Player of the Year, was selected as First-team All ACC, and was named first-team All-American in 2017. In 2017 he was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round, 15th overall, in the 2017 NBA Draft. On draft day he was traded to the Sacramento Kings for Zach Collins. In 2019 he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks with Zach Randolph for Harrison Barnes. In 2011 Jackson played with the United States national team in the FIBA Americas U16 Championship and won a gold medal.
