Justin Tuck Bio

Justin Tuck is a former American football defensive end in the National Football League. He was born in Kellyton, Alabama on March 29, 1983. Tuck played football in high school at Central Coosa County in Alabama. He went on to play college football at the University of Notre Dame for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team from 2001 to 2004. In 2005 he was selected by the New York Giants in the third round, 74th overall, in the 2005 NFL Draft. Tuck was signed to a four year contract worth $2.36 million with a signing bonus of $737,000. He played with the Giants from 2005 to 2013. With the Giants, he became a two time Super Bowl champion in Super Bowl XLII and XLVI. In 2014 he signed a two-year contract with the Oakland Raiders worth $11 million. On February 1, 2016, after 11 seasons in the NFL, Tuck announced his retirement from professional football. On May 6, 2016, he signed a one-day contract with the New York Giants to retire as a Giant. Throughout his NFL career he recorded 510 tackles, 66.5 sacks, 22 forced fumbles, 6 recoveries, 3 interceptions, and 1 defensive touchdown.
