Canadian pop and country singer and songwriter Kathryn Dawn Lang, who is known professionally by her stage name k.d. lang, is a multiple Juno and Grammy-award-winning singer and also an actress and social activist. Some of her best-known works include “Constant Craving” and “Miss Chatelaine” and she has participated in collaborations with Elton John and Anne Murray among others. She has won the 2018 Trailblazer Award at the Americana Music Honors and Awards, an international Female Solo Artist Brit Award in 1995, Several GLAAD Media Awards for Outstanding Music Album and several pop and country Grammys, most recently in 2004, when she won Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for “A Wonderful World” alongside Tony Bennet. She was born on November 2, 1961 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
