Kano Bio
British rapper Kano was born Kane Brett Robinson in London, England on May 21, 1985. Though in his early teens he took up soccer and showed high potential for going professional, he later set his sights on a music career and took up rapping in the underground grime scene. Kano worked for a while as a member of the grime crew N.A.S.T.Y. (Natural Artistic Sounds Touching You), and in 2002 released his debut solo track “Boys Love Girls”. In the summer of 2005, he released his debut album titled Home Sweet Home, which entered at #36 on the UK Top 40. He had released the extremely popular single “Typical Me” as a precursor to the album, and Home Sweet Home was eventually certified Gold in his home country. Kano would go on to release the albums London Town in 2007, 140 Grime Street in 2008, and Method to the Maadness in 2010.
