Kara Jackson is a singer and songwriter born in 1999 in the United States. Growing up, Jackson always had a passion for music and this inspired her to pursue a career in the field. In 2019, she released her debut EP “A Song for Every Chamber of the Heart”. In 2023, she released her debut full-length album “Why Does the Earthy Give Us People to Love?” The album, which features inventive melodies, was critically acclaimed and was named Pitchfork’s Best New Music.
He also collaborated with other artists on the album, including Joanna Nanmadi Ogbonnaya, Sen Marimoto, and Kaina. Jackson cites inspiration from Megan Thee Stallion, Jim Croce, Ella Fitzgerald, and Joni Mitchell. In 2023, she was featured in Kevin Abstract’s new album “Blanket”. Jackson is also an author having published the poetry chapbook “Bloodstone Cowboy”.
