Karnivool Bio
Karnivool is a rock band from Perth, Western Australia. The band was formed in 1997, and its members include lead vocalist Ian Jenny, guitarist/backing vocalist Drew Goddard, bassist Jon Stockman, guitarist Mark Hosking and drummer Steve Judd. The band has seen its lineup change a few times over the last few years. They released their first EP, titled “Karnivol”, in 1999. The EP consisted of four tracks. In 2002, they released a second EP titled “Persona”.
Their first album, titled “Themata”, was released in 2005 under the Karnivool/MGM record label. The album was platinum certified. In 2009, they released their second album, titled “Sound Awake”, which was nominated for the Australian Album of the Year. The second album was certified gold. Their third album, “Asymmetry”, was released in July 2013 under the Cymatic/Sony label. The album won the Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album award.
