Katherine Leigh Ritchie, or Kate Richie professionally, is an Australian actress and radio presenter born on August 14, 1978 in Goulburn, New South Wales. She began her acting career in 1986, when she appeared on the television show Cyclone Tracy. Two years after that, Home and Away, a soap opera where she played the role of Sally Fletcher, premiered. She would go on to play the said role until 2008, eventually tying her fellow cast member Ray Meagher as the longest serving actor on an Australian drama series. For her work in the show, she was awarded five Logies. In 2010, she appeared on the show Cops LAC as Samantha Cooper, one of its leads. Her stint on the radio started in 2008, when she joined the breakfast show Merrick & Rosso on Nova 96.9. She quit the show in 2010 for Cops LAC, but she returned to radio in 2014 when she started hosting Nova FM’s afternoon drive show with Tim Blackwell and Marty Sheargold.
