Katherine Jenkins is a vocalist with classical training who also performs in the popular music sphere. After studying music and competing in school competitions, she won a scholarship to study at London, England’s Royal Academy of Music. Embarking on a standard recording career, she became Britain’s all-time best-selling classical artist with a run of seven albums #1 on the UK Classical chart.
In 2003, Katherine Jenkins sang at Westminster Cathedral on an occasion to honor the pope’s silver jubilee. The same year saw her first performance at the Sydney Opera House. Jenkins has also appeared on BBC TV shows, including “Songs of Praise,” “Strictly Come Dancing,” “Dancing with the Stars,” and “Dancing on Ice,” among others.
