Katherine Grace McNamara, professionally known as Katherine McNamara, is an American actress born on November 22, 1995 in Kansas City, Missouri. She started her on-screen career as an actress by appearing on a films like Matchmaker Mary (2008) and Sam Steele and the Junior Detective Agency (2009) and guesting on shows such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2011), 30 Rock (2011), Drop Dead Diva (2011), and Glee (2012). In 2014, she starred in MTV’s Happyland, but after one season, it got cancelled. Her next big break came in 2016, when she was casted as Clary Fray, the main protagonist of the series Shadowhunters aired on Freeform. The show gave her a win at the People’s Choice awards and the Teen Choice Awards. In 2018, she began portraying the role of Mia Smoak on the hit show Arrow.
