Kathleen Edwards is a singer and songwriter born on 11th July 1978 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She is widely recognized for releasing successful albums and singles. She released her debut EP, titled “Building 55”, in 1999. Her debut album “Failer” was released in 2002 under MapleMusic Recordings. The album was highly praised by key figures in the music industry. She later made her television debut on the late-night talk show “Late Show with David Letterman”.
Edwards released her second album, titled “Back to Me”, in 2005, which was also critically acclaimed. In 2008, she released her third studio album, titled “Asking for Flowers”. The San Francisco Bay Guardian described her third album as “her finest”. It was also nominated for the 2008 Polaris Music Prize. She started working on her fourth album, “Asking for Flowers”, in 2010 and eventually released it in January 2012. Eight years later, she released her fifth album “Total Freedom”.
