Kathryn Hahn, born on July 23, 1973 in Westchester, Illinois as Kathryn Marie Hahn, is an American comedian and actress. After graduating from Northwestern University with a degree in theater, she went to Yale and continued studying. She then started performing on stage extensively, and at the Williamstown Theater Festival, she was discovered by a casting director. She then appeared in the TV show Crossing Jordan from 2001 to 2007 as Lily Lebowski, a role specifically made for her. Roles then started to pour in for her: she played Helen in Free Agents (2011-2012), guested on the hit show Girls (2012), starred in the comedy flick We’re The Millers (2013) alongside Jason Sudeikis and Jennifer Aniston, and played Tracy in TV series Chozen (2014), among many others. Her stint on Transparent (2014-2019) gave her a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
