Kathleen Marie Ireland, known as Kathy Ireland professionally, is an American actress, model, and mogul born on March 20, 1963 in Glendale, California. Her modeling career began at the age of 17, right after she was discovered by someone from Elite Model Management. Starting 1984, she has appeared in the swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated for 13 consecutive times, with three of them being covers. She has also graced the covers of established magazines such as Vogue, Forbes, and Cosmopolitan. In 1993, she left the modeling world in order to focus on lifestyle designing. That year, she launched the brand kathy ireland Worldwide (simply kiWW), which has, since then, become a billion dollar company that offers a plethora of products. This has made her one of the wealthiest former models in the world.
