Kathy Ann Najimy is an American award-winning actress, writer, comedian, and producer best known for her work in film and television. She was born in San Diego, California, United States, on February 6, 1957. Kathy began her acting career in 1985 when she appeared in the Tv show Walls of Glass, but she became famous in 1992 when she starred in the comedy-music film Sister Act alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Wendy Makkena, Maggie Smith, and Harvey Keitel. Kathy has since been a regular on the TV series King of the Hill, The Rocketeer, Duncanville, Younger, Veep, Unforgettable, Pepper Ann, and Veronica's Closet. Her filmography includes The Wedding Planner, Hope Floats, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, Rat Race, Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas, and Hocus Pocus. Kathy has won multiple awards including an American Comedy Award for Funniest Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture, an Annie Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement for Voice Acting by a Female Performer in an Animated Television Production, and two OFTA Television Awards for Best Voice-Over Performance and Best Supporting Actress in a Series.
