Katy Tiz, who was born Katy Tizzard, began singing folk music at open mics with her older brother when she was just 17, yet she soon realized that it was pop music that was her passion.Seeming to come from out of nowhere, London-born pop singer Katy Tiz has landed on the American music scene with her back-to-back hits “Famous”, released in 2012, and “Red Cup” released in 2013. Katy Tiz was originally signed to the record company Lava/Republic, but left after a short period of time. She had little hope that her music would be played considering she was, at the moment, unsigned. However, her managers convinced her to work with the production team Rock Mafia, and the product was her latest hit “Big Bang”, a remake of Rock Mafia’s single which is gaining international fame, along with a popular music video to accompany the song. She has since held a meeting with Atlantic Records, and the producers and managers that she has met with are adding her name to the list of next big pop stars.
