Kavin Raj, widely known as Kavin, is an actor and TV host born in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, India, on June 22, 1990. He is best known for starring as the lead in the TV series Saravanan Meenatchi. The role won him the Favorite Male Actor at the 2015 Vijay Television Awards.
Kavin starred as Dr. Chandran in S. R. Prabhakaran's Sathriyan (2017) and Shiva in Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma (2019). The Loyola College alum has participated in the third season of Bigg Boss Tamil. He has starred opposite Vikram Prabhu, Manjima Mohan, Aishwarya Dutta, and Vishnu Vishal.
In 2021, Kavin starred as Guruprasad "Guru" in Lift, directed by Vineeth Varaprasad. He appeared in the music video of Asku Maaro by Dharan Kumar & K. Sivaangi featuring Kavin & Teju Ashwini.
