Kei Nishikori is a professional tennis player born in Matsue, Shimane, Japan, on December 29, 1989. He began playing tennis at age five, making his professional debut in 2007. In 2001, he won the All-Japan Selected Junior Tennis Championship, All-Japan Elementary School Tennis Championship, and All-Japan Junior Tennis Championship (U12), becoming the fifth player to win the three Championships.
Kei joined IMG Academy in Florida after Masaaki Morita Tennis Fund him as a certified player. Kei is the top Asian men's player in history, ranking at number four in March 2015. He reached the Grand Slam final in 2014 at the US Open, becoming the first Asian Grand Slam men's singles finalist. His accomplishments include six ATP 500 titles and an Olympics bronze medal (Rio 2016).
His accolades include the 2008 ATP Newcomer of the Year, the 2014 Forbes 30 Under 30 - Sports, the 2017 Forbes Celebrity 100, and the 2020 Forbes World's Highest-Paid Athletes.
