Kelechi Keith Ayo Osemele, professionally known as Kelechi Osemele, is an American football player of Nigerian descent born on June 24, 1989 in Houston, Texas. In 2012, he was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the second round of that year’s NFL Draft. He then became a rookie starter throughout his first season with the team. Along with injuries and moves made inside the team, his addition strengthened the offensive line of the Ravens, leading him to cap his rookie year with his first championship title. In 2013, it was announced that he would be undergoing back surgery, but by 2014, he was once again able to play for the Ravens. In 2016, he transferred to Oakland Raiders, and for his first season with them, he was immediately selected for his first Pro Bowl. In 2019, he was traded by the Raiders to the New York Jets.
