Kelvin Harrison Jr. is an award-winning American actor best known for his work in film and television. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States, on July 23, 1994. Kelvin began his acting career in 2013 when he was cast in the films 12 Years a Slave and Ender's Game, and he has since had recurring roles in the TV series StartUp, Shots Fired, and Godfather of Harlem. His filmography includes The Photograph, It Comes at Night, Waves, The Trial of the Chicago 7, and Cyrano, but he is best known for starring as B.B. King in the biography-drama film Elvis alongside Austin Butler, Tom Hanks, Olivia DeJonge, and Helen Thomson. Kelvin has won multiple awards for his acting including a Black Reel Award for Outstanding Breakthrough Performance, a Black Film Critics Circle Award for Rising Star, and a Hollywood Critics Association Award for Breakthrough Performance.
