Kendra Oyesanya was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on September 28, 1987, to Ola and Shirley Oyesanya.
Her father is from Nigeria, and her mother is from the United States. She has never received professional training, but she has always had a natural flair for dance, singing, and acting.
Kendra began her career as a professional dancer, performing with some of the industry's biggest recording artists, including P. Diddy and the Bad Boy family, Beyonce, Chris Brown, Ciara, and many others.
In 2017, she made her acting debut as Poppy Martinez in the Lionsgate scripted series "Step Up: High Water," which airs on YouTube Premium.
