Kenny Wayne Shepherd was born on June 12, 1977 on Shreveport, Louisiana. He released his debut album Ledbetter Heights under Giant Records in 1995 and it topped Billboard’s Blues Chart for 20 weeks. Three tracks from the album, “Born With A Broker Heart,” “Deja Voodoo,” and “Aberdeen” made it to the top ten at radio. He released another album Trouble Is… in 1998 which received a nomination to the Grammy Awards. Another album, Live On, followed after a year. In 2007, he released 10 Days Out: Blues from the Backroads and another album, Live! In Chicago dropped on 2010.
In 2011, he released another album How I Go. This was followed by another release in 2014, Goin Home, a tribute album which also featured the works of Keb’ Mo’ and Ringo Starr. In 2017, he released Lay It on Down.
