Kevin Huerter Bio
Kevin Joseph Huerter (born August 27, 1998) is a professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association for the Atlanta Hawks (NBA). He was known as "Red Velvet" when he was a member of the Maryland Terrapins' basketball team.
Huerter was taken with the 19th overall choice in the 2018 NBA draft by the Atlanta Hawks on June 21, 2018. Huerter officially joined the Hawks on July 1, 2018.
Huerter's first 20-point game occurred against the Indiana Pacers on December 31, 2018, when he scored 22 points in a 116–108 loss.
Huerter set a season best with 29 points in a 123–121 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on January 11, 2019. Huerter was named to the All-Rookie Second Team at the end of the 2018–19 NBA season.
