Kevin Wu, also known online as KevJumba, was born on June 12, 1990, and is a well-known Asian-American YouTuber of Taiwanese descent. He is a social activist, comedian, writer, blogger, vlogger, actor, and humanitarian. Kevin left the University of California, Davis, in his second year to devote himself more fully to his passion for producing videos. In 2007, he began making videos on his own YouTube channel called "KevJumba" about the routines of an Asian-American youngster. “I Have to Deal with Stereotypes”, “My Dad Is Asian”, and “Butthash Hero” are his most liked videos. His videos significantly outperformed the American online series "Quarterlife" in ratings in much less than a year. Kevin Wu was listed ninth by iStardom Inc. in the Top 10 Entertainer category in 2008. He was hired by The HBOLab the same year for their online series "Hooking Up." He appeared in movies including "Hang Loose," "Man-Up," and "Revenge of the Green Dragons.
