Keylor Navas is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and the Costa Rica national team. Navas was born on 15th December 1986 in Costa Rica. He began his career with Costa Rican football club Deportivo Saprissa. After two seasons at the club, Navas joined Spanish club Albacete Balompie where his excellent performance earned him a promotion to La Liga, which is the top league in Spain. His debut came in the clash between Levante UD and Athletico Bilbao.
Navas played for Levante UD for two seasons before moving to Real Madrid. He also received a call-up to the Costa Rican youth football squad when the country qualified for the FIFA U-17 World Championships in 2003. He joined the men’s national team at the age of 20 and made his debut in a friendly match in Europe. He has so far represented his country at two CONCACAF Gold Cups and the FIFA World Cup in 2014.
