Khatia Buniatishvili is a Georgian pianist and musical artist who was born on June 21st 1987 in the Black Sea port city of Batumi, Georgia. She was born and raised in Georgia.
Khatia is well known for some of her albums like Motherland and Kaleidoscope. She has also performed in high-profile festivals like Menuhin Festival Gstaad, the Verbier Festival and Austria’s Gidon Kremer’s Internationales Kammermusikfest Lockenhaus. Khatia was awarded the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award in 2010 and her 2012 release, Chopin, won the Echo Klassik Young Artists’ Award. She is well known for her work on Love at Second Sight (2019), 20 heures le journal (1981) and Les victoires de la musique classique (1994). She appeared on Holly Childs & Gediminas Zygus’ 2020 DJ Mix Bleep Mix #146.
