Kiasmos Bio
Kiasmos is a Faroese-Icelandic music duo formed in 2009 by Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen. Kiasmos is made up of Icelandic BAFTA-winning composer Ólafur Arnalds (who is known for his unique blend of minimal piano and string compositions with electronic sounds), and Janus Rasmussen from the Faroe Islands (known as the mastermind of the electro-pop). Olafur Arnalds is also a multi-instrumentalist and producer.
Kiasmos released its first EP Thrown in 2012 and it was followed by their self-titled debut album Kiasmos in 2014. Kiasmos was recorded in Ólafur’s newly built studio in Reykjavík, Iceland. The EP Swept followed in 2015 featuring 3 new tracks and a remix by Tale of Us.
