Kim-Joy Hewlett (born May 17, 1991 in Belgium) is a popular London-raised baker, cookbook author, mental health specialist, and baking columnist for “The Guardian”, most renowned as a finalist in the series “The Great British Bake Off” Season 9.
During the show, Kim-Joy gracefully progressed as an outstanding talent through the show's stages before eventually finishing as a runner-up. Following the show, Kim-Joy went on to become a television broadcaster. She is also a popular social media personality. Initially, Kim-Joy lacked the confidence to take part in the Bake Off. However, as soon as she entered the competition, she was convinced she could blow the judges away with her magnificent creation.
Kim-Joy delivered incredible results throughout various stages of the show. One of her most prized creations was created during Spice Week. The episode saw her create a unique biscuit chandelier. In recognition of her talents, she was named Star Baker that same week. In the season finale, Kim-Joy faced off incredible talents, adversaries, and fellow finalists including Ruby Bhogal and Rahul Mandal.
