King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard Bio

King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard is a rock band formed in 2011 by a group of friends hailing from Melbourne Australia. The group consists of Stu Mackenzie who is on vocals and guitar, Ambrose Kenny-Smith who is on vocals and harmonica, Cook Craig and Joey Walker on guitars, Lucas Skinner on bass, and Michael Cavanagh and Eric Moore on dual drummers. They released the EPs Angelsea and Willoughby’s Beach in 2011, and in the following year, they released their first LP entitled 12 Bar Bruise. The band then went on to work tirelessly, releasing 14 other projects in rapid succession: Eyes Like the Sky (2013), Float Along – Fill Your Lungs (2013), Oddments (2014), I’m in Your Mind Fuzz (2014), Quarters! (2015), Paper Mâché Dream Balloon (2015), Nonagon Infinity (2016), Flying Microtonal Banana (2017), Murder of the Universe (2017), Sketches of Brunswick East (2017), Polygondwanaland (2017), Gumboot Soup (2017), Fishing for Fishies (2019), and Infest the Rats’ Nest (2019).
