Hailing from Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, Kinky is a Mexican alternative rock and electronica band. Kinky consists of Gilberto Cerezo on vocals and guitar, Ulises Lozano on keyboard and synthesizer, Carlos Chairez on guitar, Omar Gongora on drums, and Cesar Pliego on bass guitar. The band was formed in 1998, but they released their debut album Kinky in 2002 to much critical and commercial success. Their discography includes the singles Soun tha mi primer, A Donde Van Los Muertos, Hasta Quemarnos, Solo Tu, and the albums Atlas, Reina, Barracuda, and Nada Vale Más Que Tú. Kinky primarily writes and performs music in Spanish, but a few of their singles are written in English.
