Kodi Smit-McPhee is an award-winning Australian actor best known for his work in film and television. She was born in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia, on June 13, 1996. Kodi began his acting career in 2006 when he appeared in the films Stranded and Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America. He has since had recurring roles in the TV series Monarch Cove, Gallipoli, Interrogation, and Disclaimer. His filmography includes the blockbusters X-Men: Apocalypse, Elvis, Dark Phoenix, Alpha, Let Me In, Dolemite Is My Name, and The Power of the Dog, but he is best known for starring in the action-adventure film Dawn of the Planet of the Apes alongside Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Andy Serkis, and Jason Clarke. Kodi has won multiple awards including a Chicago Film Critics Association Award for Best Supporting Actor, a Golden Globe award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture, and an Austin Film Critics Association for Best Supporting Actor.
