Kontra K Bio
Kontra K is a German rapper and martial artist who was born on July 3rd 1987 in Berlin, Germany. He was inspired by famous rappers like Nas, Notorious B.I.G and began writing songs when he was sixteen.
He formed the duo Volkontakt with KiezSpezial and released their Fight Club Mixtape in 2008 under the Hell Raisa label. Kontra K released his debut album Doberman in 2010, naming the album after his dog. Electrosmog, a mixtape, appeared in 2012 which was closely followed by What Time Brings, his second LP. The third 12 Runden dropped in 2013 and peaked at #8 in the German charts. His fourth album Aus dem Schatten Ins Licht. Was released in February 2015 and Labyrinth entered the Top Ten in Austria and Switzerland.
His other discography includes 2012’s Was die Zeit bringt, Runden (2013), Gute Nacht (2017) and Erde & Knochen (2018).
