Koryn Hawthorne was born Koryn Mattanah Hawthorn on December 26th 1997 in Louisiana and is an American gospel singer. Performing since the age of nine she grew to singing in churches and is best known for being a contestant on the singing competition The voice, where she was a member of Pharrell Williams’ tram, placing in fourth she then signed a record deal.
Signing with RCA Inspiration, her debut self titled EP was released in 2017 and charted high in the US Gospel charts, the lead single from the EP, Won’t He Do It charted at number one in the US Gospel Chart. Less than a year after the release of her EP the singer has been nominated for multiple Stellar Gospel Music Awards.
