Kula Shaker Bio
Coming from London, England, Kula Shaker is a psychedelic rock band. They are among the most popular British bands in UK. Their lead vocalist/guitarist Crispian Mills formed Kula Shaker in 1993. Initially, the band is a quartet called the Kays. Aside from Mills, another member, Alonza Bevan, a former member of Objects of Desire, joined the Kays together with Paul Winter-Hart and Saul Dimont. However, Dimont left after a year and was replaced by Jay Darlington.
Kula Shaker’s debut single “Grateful When You’re Dead” was released in 1996. A follow-up single entitled “Tattva” established the band, peaking at the fourth spot on charts. Their debut album “K” appeared in September 1996, reaching the top spot in the UK.
