Kyle (Superduperkyle) also known as K.I.D born Kyle Harvey is a rapper from Ventura. Kyle, born as Kyle Harvey on May 18th, 1993 in Northridge, California is an American rapper based out of Ventura, California. Kyle started singing at the age of 6 and got into rapping at the age of 13. Heavily influenced by 80’s hip-hop culture and 90’s artists such as Jadakiss, Incubus, and Will Smith, he finally decided to make the jump into releasing his own music after hearing Kid Cudi’s Man on the Moon album.
He released his first mixtape, Beautiful Loser, in 2013 under his own label Hey Kyle and the moniker K.i.D. The mixtape received critical acclaim and had a guest spot from G-Eazy on the track “King Wavy.” In 2015 the label Indie Pop signed Kyle to a deal. He then changed his name to his current moniker and the label re-released the mixtape to much success.
In 2015 Indie Pop released Kyle’s second mixtape Smyle. The album peaked on the Billboard 200 at number 76. The album featured a guest spot by Chance the Rapper on the track “Remember Me?” and has garnered over 2 million views on YouTube. His single “iSpy” featured an appearance by Lil Yachty and peaked on Billboard’s Hot 100 at number 4. Kyle has since signed with Atlantic records in 2017.
