Kyra Sedgwick Bio

Kyra Sedgwick is a famous American actress from New York City. She was born on 19 August, 1965 as Kyra Minturn Sedgwick. Born into an upper-class family, Kyra attended private school throughout her education. She made her debut acting role in the soap opera Another World in 1981. After graduating from USC, she pursued a career as an actress. 

She met her husband, Kevin Bacon, during the filming of the movie Lemon Sky, in which she had a main role. In 1989, she portrayed the role of Donna in the movie Born on the Fourth of July alongside Tom Cruise. In 1992 she played a role in the film Rose White and in 1995 a role in Something to Talk About. Both performances got her global recognition and she got nominated for two Golden Globes.
