Lamar Miller was born on April 25, 1991, in Miami, Florida. He was offered a football scholarship to the University of Florida, but he chose to play at The University of Miami instead. He also won the All-ACC track performer, an award at the University of Miami for partaking in the 60, 100, and 200 races. In 2012, he was drafted for the NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins in the fourth round. In the 2011 season, Lamar Miller was the first Miami running back to ever rush more than 1000 yards in a season, after Willis McGahee (2002). He had four very successful seasons with the Dolphins before signing a 4-year, $26 million contract with the Houston Texans starting in the 2016 season.
