Lana Parrilla is an American actress born in Brooklyn, New York on July 15, 1977. She is best known for her roles on the television shows Spin City, Boomtown, Windfall, 24, Once Upon a Time, and Swingtown. Parrilla studied acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse in Los Angeles, California. She made her debut on television in 1999 in the show Grown Ups and continued landing roles in the shows Rude Awakening, Spin City, JAG, The Shield, Boomtown, Six Feet Under, Windfall, Lost, Swingtown, Miami Medical, Covert Affairs, Medium, Chase, The Defenders, NYPD Blue, 24, and Once Upon a Time. In 2000 she made her film debut in the show Very Mean Men and has since had roles in the films Spiders, Frozen Stars, One Last Ride, The Double Life of Eleanor Kendall, and The Tax Collector. Throughout her career she has been nominated for a number of awards and has won an Imagen Award, an ALMA Award, and NHMC Impact Award, and a Teen Choice Award.
