Lao Ra is a Columbian pop singer from Bogata, Columbia. At 12 years old she started writing songs. Growing up in a predominantly Catholic country like Columbia, she draws inspiration for her lyrics from the Catholic Imagery of her hometown. She moved to London and started focusing on her music career and honing her sound. In 2015 she released her debut single titled “Jesus Made Me Bad.” She was signed to the record label Black Butter Records and released her second single titled “Daddy Issues.” In 2016 she released her debut EP titled Jesus Made Me Bad. Later that year she released the singles “Drum Machine” and “Bang Boom.” In 2017 she collaborated with Ray BLK and released the single “Wild at Heart.”
