Larry Fitzgerald is an American professional football player born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 31, 1983. He is currently a wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. He played football in high school at the Academy of Holy Angels in Richfield, Minnesota. He went on to play college football at the University of Pittsburgh for the Pittsburgh Panthers football team from 2002 to 2003. In 2003 he won the Walter Camp Award, the Chic Harley Award, the Biletnikoff Award and the Paul Warfield Award. In 2004 he was selected by the Arizona Cardinals, third overall, in the 2004 NFL Draft. He made his NFL debut in the Cardinals season-opener against the St. Louis Rams. In 2011 he signed a 8-year contract with the Cardinals for $120 million, making him tied with Richard Seymour as the fifth highest paid player in the NFL at the time. Throughout his NFL career he has recorded 1,303 receptions, 16,279 receiving yards, 12.5 yards per reception, and 116 receiving touchdowns. He has played in 11 Pro Bowls and was the MVP of the 2008 Pro Bowl.
