Lars Eidinger Bio

Born in Berlin, Germany, on January 21, 1976, Lars Eidinger is a well-known actor in his own country. He received his education at Berlin's renowned Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Art. In 1997, Eidinger began working with Deutsches Theater. He had little parts in German TV series including Schloss Einstein and Berlin, Berlin prior to his breakthrough. He received a nomination in February 2016 to serve as one of the judges for the 66th Berlin International Film Festival's main competition section. He performs in Thomas Ostermeier's performances of Hamlet and Richard III as a member of the Schaubühne theater's ensemble in Berlin. In addition to his work in theater, Lars Eidinger has appeared in a wide range of national and international film and television productions, including Alle Anderen, Goltzius & The Pelican Company, Was bleibt, Tatort - Borowski und der stille, Clouds of Sils Maria, Familienfest, Personal Shopper, Mathilda, Terror, Babylon Berlin, Sense 8, Twins, Dumbo, and High Life.
