Timothy Wilcots, popularly known as Latrice Royale, is a prominent American drag performer and reality TV personality widely recognized for participating in the fourth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars (Season 1 and 4).
The African American was born on February 12, 1972 in Torrance, California, but raised in Compton. She made her drag world debut when she dressed up as Wanda to amuse her friends. She first appeared in the Drag Show in the 1990s at the Fort Lauderdale Club, where she chose the name Latrice to make her eligible for the contest.
Latrice Royal contested in the fourth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race in 2011, but finished fourth. Her elimination was a shock to fans, but she left the show with smiles after viewers voted her Miss Congeniality in the season finale. She became one of the most popular American drag queens after the show’s season, despite not winning the contest.
She competed in RuPaul’s All Star Event, Drag U, All Stars, and Holi-slay Spectacular. She will headline the Life is Beautiful Music & Art Festival comedy lineup in September.
