English TV and film actress was born in Southampton, England on 16th July 1986. She graduated from the Bristol Old Vic Theater School in 2007. After a series of odd jobs and auditions, she bagged the role of Lady Edith Crawley in ‘Downton Abbey’, in 2010. This role earned her worldwide recognition. Laura credits her work in drama school for helping her land this role. She has acted in other TV shows like ‘The Heart of Thomas Hardy’ and ‘End of Our Street’. She made her film debut in 2014 with ‘Madame Bovary’, where she played the role of Henriette. She featured in the 2015 British comedy film, ‘Burn, Burn, Burn’, which was inspired by the novel, ‘On the Road’. The film premiered at the 2015 BFI London Film Festival. She also had a successful theater career with plays like ‘The Tempest’, ‘Reasons For Living’, and ‘The Fitzrovia Radio Hour’.
