On September 22nd, 1984 in the city of Toronto, Canada, Laura Vandervoort, who is also known by her birth name, Laura Dianne Vandervoort, was born. She began her acting career by appearing in the background of Canadian television commercials and shows. When she was thirteen years old, she landed her first speaking role in the children's series "Goosebumps," which was followed by "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"
