Lee Ann Womack, born on August the 19th 1966 in Texas and is an American country music singer and songwriter. Beginning a career in 1997 with the release of her self-titled debut album, her first single Never Again, Again made it onto the country charts, with The Fool, the second single from the album reaching number five on the US country charts.
With a successful second album, it was her third album, I hope You Dance, and the title track which received major success, drawing attention of magazines, who heralded the artist for her style. Winning a Grammy Award or the album, Womack has gone on six more albums, her most recent The Lonely, the Lonesome & the Gone was another success. With multiple Grammy Award nominations amongst other awards, she has had a long and successful career so far.
