Lena Headey was born Lena Kathren Headey on the 3rd of October 1973, in Bermuda and is a British actress, film producer and voice actor. With a career that began in 1992 with a role in the Mystery Drama film Waterland, the actress went on to work steadily, her roles in films such as The Brothers Grimm and 300 where she played Gorgo, Queen of Sparta in the Zack Snyder epic, she reprised her role in the sequel, 300: Rise of an Empire.
Despite a strong film and television career that established her as a standout actress, Headey is still best known for portraying Cersei Lannister in HBO’s hit television show Game of Thrones from 2011 to present day, working alongside actors such as Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams to name a few.
