Leslie Odom Jr. Bio
Leslie Odom Jr. was born on August 6, 1981 in Queens, New York. Odom Jr. made his debut at age 17, when he was cast as Paul in Rent. He graduated with honors in musical theatre at Carnegie Mellon University. In 2002, he received the Princess Grace Award for Acting. His major theatre credits include Leap of Faith (2010), Venice (2014) and Hamilton (2015). In 2012, Odom, Jr. won the Astaire Award for Outstanding Male Dancer on Broadway and in 2015, he won a Grammy for being a principal soloist on the Hamilton Cast Recording. Odom also has appeared on several shows including CSI: Miami, Big Day, Vanished, Smash, Law and Order, Grey’s Anatomy, Gotham, The Good Wife, Grey’s Anatomy and Gilmore Girls. He also starred in the movie Red Tails (2012).
