Hailing from Brighton, England, the Levellers are an English band that performs folk-rock and alternative rock music. The group consists of Mark Chadwick on vocals, guitar, and banjo, Jeremy Cunningham on vocals, bass guitar, and guitar, Matt Savage on keyboard and vocals, Simon Friend on vocals, guitar, and banjo, Charlie Heather in drums and percussion, and Jonathan Sevink on violin, fiddle, and sequencer. Levellers was formed in 1988, and they released their debut studio project A Weapon Called the Word in 1990. Their discography includes the hit singles What a Beautiful Day, One Way, Another Man’s Cause, The Devil Went Down to Georgia, and the albums Besieged, Peace, and Letter from the Underground. Their music was featured on the album British Legends alongside Duran Duran, The Hollies, Kate Bush, and The Stranglers.
