Le’Veon Bell is an American professional football player born in Reynoldsburg, Ohio on February 18, 1992. He is currently a running back for the New York Jets of the National Football League. He played football in high school at Groveport Madison High School in Groveport, Ohio for the Groveport Cruisers football team. He went on to play college football at Michigan State University for the Michigan State Spartans football team from 2010 to 2012. In 2013 he was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round, 48th overall, in the 2013 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year rookie contract for $4.12 million with $2.27 million guaranteed and a signing bonus of $1.37 million. He made his NFL debut on September 29, 2013, against the Minnesota Vikings. He played with the Steelers from 2013 to 2018. In 2019 he became a free agent and signed a four-year contract with the New York Jets worth $52.5 million with $35 million guaranteed. Throughout his NFL career he has recorded 5,336 rushing yards, 35 rushing touchdowns, 312 receptions, 2,660 receiving yards, and 7 receiving touchdowns.
