Lieke Martens Bio
Lieke Elisabeth Petronella Martens RON (born 16 December 1992) is a midfielder for Barcelona and the Netherlands women's national team.
Martens began her professional career in Bergen, Limburg, where she grew up, playing for Dutch, German, and Belgian clubs. Martens made her international debut in 2015, scoring the Netherlands' first goal in a Women's World Cup match against New Zealand.
Martens' skills at Swedish club FC Rosengrd drew FC Barcelona's interest in 2016, and she was signed the following year. Martens took part in the Netherlands' 2017 UEFA Women's Euro campaign just weeks after signing with FC Barcelona.
