Isaac Liev Schreiber was born on October 4, 1967 in San Francisco, California, US. Better known as Liev Schreiber, he is an American director, producer, screenwriter, and actor who became known in the late 1990s and early 2000s from appearing in several films such as the Scream trilogy of horror films, Ransom in 1996, Phantoms in 1998, The Sum of All Fears in 2002, The Omen in 2006, X-Men Origins: Wolverine in 2009, Taking Woodstock in 2009, Salt in 2010, Goon in 2011, Pawn Sacrifice in 2014, and Spotlight in 2015. Liev is a respected stage actor with such performances in several Broadway productions. For his role in the play Glengarry Glen Ross, he won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play in 2005. In 2005 he made his debut as film director and writer for Everything is Illuminated based on the novel with the same name. In television he has earned two Primetime Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations for his role in the Showtime drama of Ray Donovan in 2013.
