Lil Bibby Bio
The Chicago rapper Lil Bibby was born Brandon Dickerson in 1995, and is known for his many collaborations with friend and fellow rap artist Lil Herb. Lil Bibby grew up listening to artists such as Gucci Mane and Lil Wayne, which influenced him heavily when he began his own music career. In 2013, Lil Bibby released his mixtape Free Crack, and shortly after, Bibby found himself being compared to Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Drake. Bibby proved himself to be an eloquent, clear spoken rapper with biting lyrics that criticized some of the mediocrity present in the rap industry.
In 2014, XXL Magazine named him part of the Freshman Class of 2014 rappers to watch for, labeling him a member of the “Dirty Dozen” that would inevitably become groundbreaking artists. Following this appearance, Lil Bibby released the mixtape Free Crack II, followed by his first studio album The Book on digital download.
